8. Assumption of Risk and Release of Liability

THIS SECTION CONTAINS A RELEASE OF LIABILITY. PLEASE READ IT CAREFULLY.

8.1 Voluntary Participation and Assumption of Risk

By purchasing, accessing, reading, or applying any information contained in any publication, exercise, requirement, or other material provided through the Services, you acknowledge that you are voluntarily choosing to engage with the Services and that you understand and assume all risks associated with such engagement. You acknowledge that certain Services, including the requirements and exercises described in Banned Blueprint, are designed to interrupt deeply embedded behavioral patterns, surface suppressed emotional material, and produce measurable psychological disruption. You further acknowledge that these processes carry inherent risks, including but not limited to psychological discomfort and emotional distress.

8.2 Release of Liability

You hereby release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue the Company, its owners, officers, directors, employees, agents, independent contractors, service providers, consultants, licensors, successors, and assigns (collectively, the "Released Parties") from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, and causes of action arising out of or related to any loss, damage, or harm — whether psychological, emotional, physical, financial, relational, or otherwise — sustained by you as a result of your engagement with, interpretation of, or application of any information, content, requirement, exercise, or material provided through the Services.

8.3 Waiver of Unknown Claims

You expressly waive any and all rights and benefits conferred upon you by the provisions of Section 1542 of the California Civil Code (and any similar law of any state or jurisdiction), which provides: "A general release does not extend to claims that the creditor or releasing party does not know or suspect to exist in his or her favor at the time of executing the release and that, if known by him or her, would have materially affected his or her settlement with the debtor or released party."

8.4 Legal and Ethical Responsibility

The techniques, exercises, and requirements described in the Services are presented for educational purposes. They are not instructions to engage in any unlawful, harmful, or unethical conduct. You are solely responsible for ensuring that any application of concepts from the Services complies with all applicable federal, state, local, and international laws and regulations.

9. Mental Health Warning

THIS SECTION CONTAINS IMPORTANT WARNINGS REGARDING THE PSYCHOLOGICAL EFFECTS OF CERTAIN SERVICES. BY CONTINUING TO USE THE SERVICES, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU HAVE READ, UNDERSTOOD, AND ACCEPTED THE RISKS DESCRIBED HEREIN.

9.1 Nature of the Material

Banned Blueprint is narrated entirely in first person by a fictional psychological entity designed to represent the internalized behavioral mechanism the book addresses. The book is written in an intentionally cold, possessive, and confrontational voice that does not soften, warm, or offer encouragement at any point — including the ending. The requirements at the end of each chapter are designed to interrupt automatic behavioral patterns and may surface suppressed emotional material. These effects are expected and are part of the book's design.

9.2 The Services Are Not Therapy or Medical Treatment

The Services are not therapy, psychiatric care, medical treatment, or a substitute for any form of professional mental health intervention. The author is not a licensed therapist, psychologist, psychiatrist, or medical professional. Nothing in the Services constitutes a therapeutic relationship, diagnosis, treatment plan, or clinical intervention.

9.3 If You Are Currently in Therapy

If you are currently receiving therapy or mental health treatment, you are strongly encouraged to inform your therapist or mental health provider that you are engaging with the Services. The material presented in the book and professional therapeutic support are not inherently in conflict, but clinical oversight may be beneficial as suppressed emotional material surfaces.

9.4 If You Have a History of Trauma, PTSD, or Complex PTSD

Certain requirements and exercises may activate traumatic material. This is inherent to the process. If a requirement activates material that exceeds your capacity to process safely, you should immediately pause and seek professional support before continuing.

9.5 If You Are in Crisis

If you are experiencing active suicidal ideation, psychosis, severe dissociation, or are in psychiatric crisis, you should not engage with this material until you have stabilized. Seek immediate professional help. In the United States, contact the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline (call or text 988), the Crisis Text Line (text HOME to 741741), or go to your nearest emergency room.

9.6 Distinguishing Productive Discomfort from Psychological Emergency

The most common experiences during the requirements are discomfort, resistance, and a desire to stop. These are expected responses. However, the distinction between productive discomfort and genuine psychological emergency is critical. Productive discomfort includes wanting to stop because the exercise is challenging, emotional resistance, or fatigue. A psychological emergency includes losing contact with reality, experiencing uncontrollable flashbacks, feeling unable to keep yourself safe, or experiencing persistent dissociation. If you are unsure which you are experiencing, contact a licensed professional immediately.

9.7 When to Seek Professional Support

Seek professional mental health support immediately if you experience: persistent dissociation lasting more than 24 hours after completing a requirement; flashbacks or intrusive memories that interfere with daily functioning; inability to sleep for more than two consecutive nights; panic attacks that do not subside; thoughts of self-harm or harming others; or a sense that you have lost your ability to distinguish between the book's framework and objective reality.

9.8 Your Responsibility

By engaging with the Services and executing any requirements or exercises described therein, you accept full responsibility for your psychological wellbeing, your decision to engage with the material, and your judgment regarding when to seek professional support.

10. Confidential Information

You acknowledge that certain content and materials on or made available via the Services constitute the Confidential Information of the Company. You agree to hold such information in confidence and not disclose it except as expressly permitted by these Terms or required by law.

11. User Content

If the Services include any interactive areas or community features, you agree that you are solely responsible for any content you create, post, or transmit. By submitting content, you grant the Company a nonexclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable right to use, reproduce, modify, publish, and distribute such content. You agree not to post content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, fraudulent, or otherwise objectionable.

12. Feedback

Any feedback, suggestions, or ideas you submit to the Company becomes the sole property of the Company. The Company may use such feedback for any purpose without acknowledgment or compensation to you.

13. User Conduct

You agree not to use the Services in violation of any law, contract, or intellectual property right. You further agree not to use the Services in any manner that could damage, disable, or impair the Services; send unsolicited communications or spam; use automated means to access the Services or extract data; introduce any virus or harmful material; or circumvent any measures employed to limit access to the Services.

14. Copyright Complaints

If you believe that anything on the Services infringes upon any copyright that you own or control, you may file a notification of such infringement by contacting us at nolan@nolansteele.com.

15. Third-Party Content

The Company may provide links to third-party websites or content. The Company does not control, endorse, or adopt any third-party content and makes no representations regarding its accuracy or completeness. Your use of any third-party content is at your own risk.

16. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED SOLELY FOR EDUCATIONAL AND INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES. THE COMPANY MAKES NO REPRESENTATION, WARRANTY, OR GUARANTEE — EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE — THAT THE SERVICES WILL PRODUCE ANY SPECIFIC RESULT, OUTCOME, OR BENEFIT. THE SERVICES ARE NOT THERAPY, PSYCHIATRIC CARE, MEDICAL TREATMENT, OR A SUBSTITUTE FOR ANY FORM OF PROFESSIONAL MENTAL HEALTH INTERVENTION. THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND.

17. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the Released Parties from and against any and all claims, damages, costs, liabilities, and expenses arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the Services; (b) your breach of these Terms; (c) your violation of the rights of any third party; or (d) your use, misuse, or application of any material, requirement, or exercise contained in the Services.

18. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW: IN NO EVENT SHALL THE RELEASED PARTIES BE LIABLE FOR ANY SPECIAL, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF USE, LOSS OF PROFITS, PSYCHOLOGICAL OR EMOTIONAL HARM, OR ANY OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR IN ANY WAY CONNECTED WITH THESE TERMS OR THE USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICES. IN NO EVENT SHALL THE AGGREGATE LIABILITY OF THE RELEASED PARTIES EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU HAVE ACTUALLY PAID TO THE COMPANY FOR THE SPECIFIC SERVICE GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM DURING THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING THE DATE THE CLAIM AROSE.

19. No Third-Party Beneficiaries

These Terms are for the benefit of, and will be enforceable by, the Company and you only. These Terms are not intended to confer any right or benefit on any third party.

20. Modifications and Termination

The Company reserves the right to modify or discontinue the Services or any features thereof without prior notice. The Company reserves the right to terminate your license to use the Services at any time and for any reason, including violation of these Terms.

21. Arbitration

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING SECTION CAREFULLY BECAUSE IT REQUIRES YOU TO ARBITRATE DISPUTES WITH THE COMPANY AND LIMITS THE MANNER IN WHICH YOU CAN SEEK RELIEF.

21.1 Binding Arbitration

Except for Disputes in which either party seeks injunctive or other equitable relief for the alleged unlawful use of intellectual property, you and the Company agree to waive your respective rights to have any and all Disputes arising from or related to these Terms or the Services resolved in a court, and to waive your respective rights to a jury trial. Instead, you and the Company agree to arbitrate Disputes through binding arbitration.

21.2 No Class Arbitrations or Representative Actions

Any Dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or the Services is personal to you and the Company and will be resolved solely through individual arbitration. There will be no class arbitration or arbitration in which an individual attempts to resolve a Dispute as a representative of another individual or group.

21.3 Federal Arbitration Act

You and the Company agree that these Terms affect interstate commerce and that the enforceability of this Section 21 shall be governed by the Federal Arbitration Act, 9 U.S.C. § 1 et seq.

21.4 Notice and Informal Resolution

Before commencing arbitration, you must notify the Company in writing of any Dispute within thirty (30) days of the date it arises. Notice to the Company shall be sent by email to nolan@nolansteele.com. If the Dispute cannot be resolved informally within thirty (30) days, either party may commence arbitration.

21.5 Process

Any Dispute must be commenced within one (1) year of the date the Dispute arose; otherwise the underlying claim is permanently barred. Arbitration will be conducted confidentially by a single arbitrator in accordance with the rules of the Judicial Arbitration and Mediation Services ("JAMS"). The state or federal courts of the State of Wyoming, shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any appeals and the enforcement of an arbitration award.

21.6 Opt-Out Right

You have the right to opt out of binding arbitration within thirty (30) days of the date you first accepted these Terms by writing to nolan@nolansteele.com with your full name and a clear statement of your intent to opt out.

22. Governing Law

These Terms will be governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming and applicable United States law, without giving effect to any conflict of laws principles.

23. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is deemed unlawful, void, or unenforceable, that provision shall be deemed severable and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining provisions.

24. Entire Agreement
